From Passion to Purpose: The WHY Behind SHAPEVIA
We were born with the primary purpose of educating and informing people about the importance of travel planning, just as we plan many things in our lives.
Planning a trip is not just about making a list of things to do; it is the art of creating memorable experiences. For this reason, we need to be fully aware of the type of trip we are about to embark on and, most importantly, how we are going to approach it.
Neglecting this aspect could lead to an unpleasant travel experience, negatively affecting our mood and ruining the adventure.
Our mission goes beyond that of a traditional travel agency: we are constantly striving to create customized adventures that reflect the dreams and desires of each traveler.
Whether exploring new destinations, discovering hidden gems, or revisiting familiar places with a fresh perspective, we are here to ensure that every trip is unique and unforgettable.

HOW We Craft Unique Experiences
To make this happen, we follow a simple but effective method that can be summarized in four steps and depicted in the image below.

Our Travel Planning Process
There are four steps in the process, but before starting, an initial profiling of the traveler is conducted.
At this preliminary stage, we focus on investigating and understanding the psychological and behavioral aspects of the individual or travel group.
In short, we aim to identify the interests, passions, and habits that motivate and drive travelers.
Next, the individual or group is asked: Where do I want to go and why?
This phase involves identifying the motivations behind the trip—whether it’s relaxation, adventure, culture, or a combination of these—and outlining personal priorities such as budget, timing, and duration of the desired experience.
This reflection and brainstorming phase serves as the starting point for crafting a tailored itinerary and travel plan.
WHAT Planning Involves and The Steps
When planning a trip, we believe it's essential to follow a clear process to maximize your time and money, minimize stress, and avoid unpleasant surprises. Each step should be considered in this specific order:

FIRST STEP
Travel period definition
When are you traveling? Define the exact dates: e.g., from June 15 to June 22 or a general timeframe, like two weeks in mid-July.
What season will it be at your destination? Consider weather patterns (rainy, dry, snowy), peak tourist seasons, or special events like festivals or holidays that might affect your experience or costs.

SECOND STEP
Itinerary, activities, transport and more
Where are you going, and what will you do there? List the places to visit: cities, landmarks, natural wonders, or hidden gems.
Plan activities like hiking, museum tours, or beach days, and explore local cuisine, such as must-try dishes or famous eateries.
Think about transport options: Will you rent a car, use public transit like trains or buses, or rely on ride shares or walking?
Build flexibility into your schedule for spontaneity or unexpected opportunities.

THIRD STEP
Accomodations comparison and choice
Where will you stay? Research options like hotels (boutique or chain), vacation rentals (apartments, villas), or resorts (all-inclusive or specialized). Consider location near the action or somewhere quieter along with amenities like Wi-Fi, breakfast, or a pool. Check reviews for cleanliness, service, and value, and decide if you’ll book directly or through a platform.

FOURTH STEP
Flights booking
Why Flights are the last thing?
Attempting to book flights without first determining the travel period, itinerary, and accommodations can lead to:
- Misaligned travel dates with your planned activities.
- Overlooking better flight options that align with your itinerary.
- Booking flights that don't match up with your accommodation availability or location.
OK, Now Where Do We Go?
First, to give you some ideas, why not start with the continent (big picture) and then head further and further into detail? It could be a good sarting point!
